This summer, we've been quietly working behind the scenes to make our Pro Apps even better. From new features to usability and stability improvements, we've been polishing them so you can get more out of the tools you use daily.

The most important updates from July and August cover the OpenProject Integration (Pro), Pro Macros, GDPR Cookie Consent, MCP Server Extension (BETA), Diagram Application (Pro), and Confluence Migration Toolkit. We've also continued our regular maintenance efforts and made improvements across the rest of the Pro Apps.

#1 OpenProject Integration (Pro)

Version 1.2.0 of the OpenProject Integration (Pro) comes with a range of new features and stability improvements. Here are some of the highlights:

  • A new calendar macro
  • The ability to edit OpenProject work packages directly from XWiki
  • The ability to assign a parent when creating a new work package
  • The ability to select which OpenProject instance to use when creating a new space
  • The option to insert in-line OpenProject macros when work packages are created by highlighting text on a wiki page

#2 Pro Macros

The latest Pro Macros releases focus on making everyday interactions smoother, with a number of UI and stability improvements:

  • The Expand macro comes with a new animation. (See video below.)
  • The View file macro animation is faster.
  • The Download button for the View file macro now uses a sans-serif font.
  • Status macro colors are now available through a drop-down menu.

💡For all the details, check the release notes.

👉 If you're using Pro Macros, give the latest version a try and share your feedback. You can also report issues in the GitHub repository.

Good news for web admins! As promised in our previous communication, version 2.0 is here with major updates. The codebase of the GDPR Cookie Consent application has been overhauled, making it easier to maintain the app in the future, and also bringing several fixes to existing issues. Moreover, we fixed an important bug that could prevent admins from saving their settings.

💡 Take a look at the release notes for the full updates.

👉 Try out version 2.0 and let us know what you think. Share your feedback through the dedicated form or open a GitHub ticket in the extension's repository.

#4 MCP Server Extension (BETA)

We've released a beta version of the MCP server extension for XWiki.

The extension can currently search, read, and write XWiki pages, making your knowledge base content easily accessible to AI. We're also planning to expand its capabilities to support working with objects and classes in future releases.

💡 Learn more about the beta extension in the release notes.

👉 We'd love to hear from you as you try it out. Share your feedback through the Jira issue tracker.

#5 Diagram Application (Pro)

Managing diagrams just got simpler. They can now be stored as attachments on the same page, rather than as separate child pages, making them easier to find and manage.

💡 See how it works in the release notes.

👉 Try out the latest version of Diagram Application (Pro) and let us know what you think. Share your feedback in the dedicated form or open a GitHub ticket in the extension's repository.

#6 Confluence Migration Toolkit

The Confluence Migration Toolkit is getting ready for a change on the Confluence side. Starting with version 1.43.0, the Confluence Migrator includes experimental support for CSV backups, following Atlassian's decision to deprecate the XML backup option.

This ensures that the Confluence Migrator can continue to support new backup formats and remain useful over time.

💡 Find out more in the release notes.

👉 If you're using CSV backups to migrate, give the new functionality a try and let us know how it works. Share your feedback in the dedicated form or open a GitHub ticket in the extension's repository.

🔭 What’s next

In the following months, we plan on adding several new tools to the MCP Server Extension. This will allow agents to handle App Within Minutes directly and more predictably.

As for the OpenProject Integration (Pro), version 1.2.1 is already in the works. It will bring several stability and performance improvements.
