Over the past 2 months, we continued to improve the XWiki Pro Applications ecosystem with a strong focus on reliability, usability, and greater interoperability across tools.
The most important updates of April and May concern the Task Manager Application (Pro), the OpenProject Integration (Pro), and the Confluence Migration Toolkit. In parallel, we also delivered improvements and maintenance updates across all other Pro Apps.

#1 Task Manager Application (Pro)
This release focuses on improving the reliability and consistency of planning features, especially Gantt charts and kanban boards.
Gantt charts now behave more predictably, including proper support when read-only mode is enabled. They also open directly on today’s date, making navigation more intuitive.
We also improved the kanban board experience. Task titles containing special characters are now handled correctly, and layout issues affecting tasks with multiple assignees have been resolved.
Finally, task information is now stored more reliably during automatic data updates, reducing inconsistencies and improving overall stability.
These improvements make day-to-day planning more reliable for teams using visual project management tools.

🔭 What’s next: GDPR cookie consent and AI initiatives
The GDPR Cookie Consent application is also undergoing a major update. Version 2.0.0 is coming soon, and it will focus on internal improvements. This includes a modernized codebase, improved reliability, and better performance.
On the AI side, we are actively working on an MCP server that will allow any AI agent to connect directly to XWiki. We are also exploring observability tools to help organizations monitor and control AI usage within their knowledge environments.
We are currently gathering input on how AI should be integrated into knowledge management software. Your feedback is important in helping us shape a product strategy that aligns with real-world use cases.
