Job description

XWiki SAS is a remote-first company contributing for 19 years to an Open World by having created and continuously building two 100% Open Source projects: XWiki and CryptPad, that respond to two important society needs: Knowledge Sharing and Individual Privacy.

Responsibilities

Integrated within our Product team, but also working with key stakeholders of the company, you will:

Develop concepts, user experience, interfaces, graphics and layouts for XWiki products, including a new project called "Wiki 3.0"
Iterate on ideas and sketches towards finalized design proposals
Document prototypes and mockups for implementation
Improve information architecture and hierarchy
Review current product design to propose improvements and implement fixes
Exchange with the business teams to understand and define the positioning of XWiki products
Respect deadlines and deliver good quality projects
Bring your contribution to the team through new ideas and concepts

Required skills

3 to 5 years experience in Web Software UX Design
Passion and enthusiasm for UX & design
Experience with tools such as Penpot, Inkscape, Krita (or proprietary alternatives)
Experience with translating designs into HTML and CSS
Creative flair, a "can do" attitude and a flexible approach
Strong knowledge of UX techniques both for research and implementation
Familiarity with usability principles, W3C standards, and accessibility guidelines (WCAG)
Good knowledge of CSS and HTML
Openness to feedback and willing to make changes to your proposals
Attention to detail, self-motivation and eagerness to learn
Very good communication skills, ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Experience with Knowledge Management and Editing tools a plus
Experience with working with Open Source communities a plus
Very good spoken and written English skills. French is a plus.
