As the year winds down, November is shaping up to be a dynamic month for connecting with the open-source community. From technical conferences across Europe to an insightful webinar, this month offers plenty of opportunities to dive deep into open-source innovation, meet like-minded professionals, and discover how XWiki is advancing the tech landscape. Here’s a look at the events we’ll be part of in November.
FII IT-ist
- Date: November 9th, 2024
- Location: Iași, Romania
- Event link: FII IT-st
Our first November stop is FII IT-st in Iași, a conference focused on bringing students and industry experts together to discuss advancements in IT. This year, our Graphic & UI/UX Designer, Adina Milica, and our Client Service CTO, Anca Luca, will lead a session titled "The very demure, very mindful way of adaptable frontend✨."
Adina and Anca will showcase XWiki’s approach to creating adaptable frontends that cater to diverse user needs. Attendees will gain insights into the mindful design choices and development processes behind XWiki projects. Whether you’re passionate about open source, coding, or product design, this session will provide actionable ideas on turning open-source concepts into impactful products. They’ll also discuss other XWiki exciting projects, such as CryptPad and Cristal, revealing how these solutions embody the spirit of adaptable, user-centered design.
Forum Étudiants Entreprises at CY Tech Cergy

Next, we’ll attend the forum Étudiants Entreprises at CY tech Cergy, a one-day event focused on bridging students with companies offering internships, work-study programs, and first jobs. XWiki representatives Diana Véron (HR Manager) and Clément Aubin (Sales Director) will be on hand to meet talented students from various fields, including applied mathematics, computer science, cybersecurity, and engineering.
This forum is an excellent opportunity for students to learn more about open-source career paths and open roles at XWiki and how they can contribute to our mission of promoting collaborative, open-source solutions for knowledge management.

This event is an ideal place to take the pulse on the open-source ecosystem, meet passionate contributors, and explore collaborative opportunities. Capitole du Libre is always a fantastic chance for us to gather inspiration from like-minded enthusiasts and bring back fresh ideas to our projects.

Rounding out our November in-person events, we’ll participate in Campus du Libre at Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3. Our team will be available at our stand to answer questions, demonstrate XWiki and showcase CryptPad, and discuss privacy-conscious open-source software. This event is an exciting opportunity for students and tech enthusiasts to experience the freedom and control that comes with using open-source solutions.
